We absolutely LOVE the broasted chicken. The pizza is also really good but we love to go for the chicken. š
Salad bar is also great, especially for the price. I'm not sure if it's priced differently for carryout but at either price, it's a deal! (Was about $5/one trip or $7/AUCE, I believe.) I need to keep this in mind as I would much rather have a salad for lunch than most quick lunch options in the city.
Sammy's also has decent specials.

I'm looking forward to broadening my Sammy's horizons but when the chicken is that good, it's so hard to want anything else!
My biggest complaint was the amount of toppings. Ordered a crew/Hawaiian pizza. The crew only had 4 small mushrooms and the Hawaiian had maybe 3 small pieces of ham. The sauce tastedā¦I donāt know, funny? Like itās been sitting in the fridge for a while.
The only good thing was the service, very nice waitress.

If they put on a decent amount of toppings Iād probably give the pizza a 3 or 4 out of 5.
Lots of seats available for all sizes of groups. appetizers were good. pizza was good , waitress was friendly and helpful. drinks were good enjoyed the visit.
I've been contemplating for a month or so if I should give a bad review but I think I feel the need to now. My husband usually orders the chicken alfredo pizza for us. It's was a favorite. Recently though it has not been. I don't know if you changed the chicken that you put on it from just chicken breast to other parts but the last few pizzas we had were not great. The last two in particular were awful! Both of them had bone pieces in the chicken and the last one wast particularly bad. I took out four different pieces of bone out of my mouth, threw the rest of the pizza away and said never again. Yuck!
This was our 1st time at Sammy's and we'll be back. The waitress (younger gal) was very friendly and gave great service. Good salad bar and great pizza. Looks like lots of great specials. We'll try the boasted chicken next time.
Started eating Sammy's pizza when they came to the city in 1957. They've had their ups and downs and relocations since then, but it's still great pizza...and a salad bar to boot.
Still is the best pizza you can ever eat in the Midwest.. I love this place since I and it's quality is never changed and the staff is always exceptional!!
